Faithways Leadership Academy is a cohort program spanning from April to November each year. What is a cohort? When we say cohort, we simply mean that a group of people (our high school Faithways members) will progress through the Faithways programming together.

Online Spring Retreat

Dates: April 24–25, 2025

Location: Zoom

To launch the 2025 programming, cohort members will gather virtually in April for a retreat that introduces our theme of resilient faith. We will dive into the sub-themes of care for the soul, strong but adaptable faith, and authentic community characterized by shared abundance. Cohort members will begin engaging in dialogue on these subjects.

We are pleased to announce that our keynote speaker for the 2025 spring retreat is Jessalyn Brown! Jessalyn is a graduate of Georgetown College (BA American Studies & Theatre and Film Studies). Currently, she is in her final year at Baylor University’s Truett Seminary and serves as a resident chaplain at Baylor.

Tentative Spring Retreat Itinerary

Spring to Summer

Flowing out of the spring retreat, cohort members will read a book (book selection TBA!) that invites deeper reflection on resilient faith. Students will maintain connection with fellow cohort members and Faithways leaders through an online forum.

Summer Camp

Dates: June 15–20, 2025 (Sunday evening to Friday morning)

Location: Georgetown College Campus in Georgetown, KY

The Faithways summer camp has traditionally been the heart of our program. During this 5-day gathering on the Georgetown campus, cohort members take learning and exploration to the next level. Daily activities provide opportunities for spiritual and intellectual growth, rest, play, authentic and formative discussions and dialogues, and the pursuit of justice initiatives.

Summer to Fall

After the summer camp, cohort members continue the good work of developing resilient faith through participating in a post-camp discussion forum, developing a justice project to implement in your own communities, and reading/watching resources about the history of civil rights in the US.

Fall Civil Rights Trip

Dates: November 8–10, 2025

Location: roundtrip bus travel to Montgomery, AL, from Georgetown, KY

As a capstone experience, cohort members are invited to participate in a civil rights trip to Montgomery, Alabama, for an additional cost of only $70. Together, we will explore the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, Legacy Museum, Alabama State Capitol, St. Peter AME Church, and Richard Harris House.
